Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) added 0.03% or 1.8 points to reach 6,865.48 points in the week ended 8 June compared to 6,863.62 points in last week.
The market’s turnover advanced 57.4% to SAR 15.76 billion ($4.2 billion) from SAR 10.02 billion ($2.67 billion) a week ago.
The trading volume hiked 94.7% to 1.1 billion shares from 582 million in the past week.
Tadawul’s market cap grew SAR 3.2 billion to reach SAR 1.624 trillion ($433 billion) from SAR 1.621 trillion ($432 billion) in the previous week.
The REITs sector led the worst performers and fell 3.9%, followed by the material sector which shed 0.75%.
On the other hand, the food sector rose 2.67%, followed by the telecom and banks by 0.93% and 0.57%, respectively.
As for Nomu-Parallel Market, the main index went up 0.09% or 3.65 points to stand at 4,048.07 points at the week ended 8 June from 4,044.42 points last week.
Nomu’s turnover increased to SAR 12.9 million from SAR 8.4 million a week ago, with a rise in the traded volume to 559,000 shares compared to 415,000 shares in the previous week.
