Tadawul adds 109 pts at close; highest gains since April

Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Tuesday’s trading with a growth of 2.02% or 109.23 points to the level of 5,525.7 points; its highest gains since 25 April.

Trading volume decreased to 204 million shares from 256 million shares exchanged on Monday, turnover also declined to SAR 2.84 billion from SAR 3.42 billion.

The real estate sector was the best performer after rising by 5.06% as its shares rose collectively, topped by Jabal Omar with an increase of 8.26% to SAR 51.75, and Dar Al Arkan grew by 2.35% to SAR 4.80.

The telecom sector leapt 3.53% as Zain led the green list by adding 9.96% to SAR 7.40.

The banks sector levelled up 2.57%, backed by the rise in Al-Rajhi Bank and AlAhli Bank by 4.04% and 3.2% respectively, while Saudi Investment Bank fell 0.3% to SAR 9.90.

The petrochemicals sector grew 0.53% as Sabic rose 0.37% to SAR 81.50 and Advanced Petrochemical increased 2.2% to SAR 38.70, while SAFCO declined 1.64% to SAR 63.

On the other hand, the retail sector fell alone by 1.02%.

Sabic made the highest liquidity of SAR 706.4 million, 9.7% of the total turnover.
