Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Tuesday with a growth of 0.61% or 18.55 points to the level of 6,739.18 points.
The index broke over the level of 6,700 points for the first time since 11 sessions.
Turnover rose 12.28% to SAR 5.99 billion from SAR 5.3 billion on Monday.
Trading volume also increased 18.55% to 305 million shares from 257 million shares exchanged yesterday.
The telecom was the best performing sector after adding 1.79% as Mobily, STC and Etihad Atheeb Telecom by 4.39%, 0.33% and 1.17% respectively, while Zain was flat.
The petrochemicals sector also advanced 1.33%, backed by the rise in National Industrialization, SAPIC and SAFCO by 7.78%, 0.49% and 0.90% respectively.
Meanwhile, the media and publishing sector fell 1.17%.
National Industrialization topped gainers by adding 7.78%, while Saudi Marketing led decliners after falling 3.4%.
