Riyadh – Mubasher: The benchmark of Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Wednesday’s session falling 0.9% or 60 points to 6,566.68 points; breaking below the level of 6,600 points.
Turnover increased to SAR 4.7 billion from SAR 3.9 billion on Tuesday, trading volume also rose to 285.6 million shares from 251.27 million shares exchanged yesterday.
The hotel and tourism sector was the worst performer after dropping 0.93%, pressured by a collective fall in its stocks, topped by Al Tayyar which shrank 4.57% to SAR 38.
The banks sector also fell 0.93% as Al Rajhi Bank and National Commercial Bank declined by 0.65% and 1.23% respectively.
The petrochemicals sector retreated 0.633% as SABIC fell 0.51% to SAR 82 and SAFCO declined 0.43% to SAR 62.75.
Meanwhile, the energy and telecom sectors advanced 1.2% and 0.7% respectively.
