Tadawul closes 0.3% higher

Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Monday rising 0.29% or 18.75 points to the level of 6,589 points.

Market Analyst, Ahmed al-Milky, said that the index was backed by the rise in Al-Rajhi Bank, which added about 12 points.

Trading volume reached 229.7 million shares exchanged through 76,000 transactions, making a turnover of  SAR 3.6 billion, 6% up from SAR 3.3 billion on Sunday.

The energy sector was the best performer after rising 2.3%, followed by the insurance and banks sectors with a growth of 1.6% and 0.57% respectively.

On the other hand, the media and publishing declined by 1.5%.

The Company for Cooperative Insurance topped gainers by adding 4.35% to SAR 96, while Saudi Research and Marketing Group led decliners after falling 2.33% to SAR 44.

Dar Al Arkan was the most traded stock with a volume of 75 million shares, whereas Alinma Bank recorded the highest liquidity of SAR 515.4 million.
