Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Sunday falling 0.74% to the level of 6,542 points.
Turnover reached SAR 3.19 million through exchanging 184.7 million shares in 70,000 transactions.
The index was negatively affected by the fall in National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri), Saudi electricity and the Saudi British Bank by 4%, 2.4% and 2.4% respectively.
However, Mobily and Jabal Omar advanced by 1.5% and 1.3% respectively.
The transportation sector was the worst performer after falling 2%, followed by the energy sector with a 1.5% decrease.
On the other hand, the real estate development and building and construction sectors rose by 1.9% and 1.2% respectively.
FIPCO topped gainers by adding 9.9%, while Saudi Cement led decliners with a fall of 5.3%.
