Riyadh – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Monday’s trading session 0.1% or 7.14 points higher at 7,493.45 points.
The market’s turnover shrank to SAR 3.5 billion on Monday from SAR 3.8 billion in the previous session, after trading volume decreased to 162.13 million shares from 167.5 million.
The media sector gained 8%, followed by the utilities and banks segments which levelled up 1.92% and 0.04%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the healthcare and basic materials segments retreated 2.2% and 0.04%, respectively.
Saudi Research and Marketing Group topped the winners with a rise of 9.95% to SAR 35.90. Meanwhile, Mouwasat led the losers with 5.06% to close at SAR 150.
SABIC recorded the highest turnover of SAR 428.2 million, up 0.04% at SAR 103.
Dar Al Arkan was the most active stock on which 41.87 million shares were traded, falling 2.55% to SAR 6.49.
