Tadawul closes Monday lower for second day

Riyadh - Mubasher: The general index of the Saudi stock exchange, the Tadawul All Share Index (TASI), closed down on Monday by 0.62% or 45.87 points to reach 7,377.36 points.

The market's liquidity increased to SAR 8.36 billion on Monday, compared with SAR 5.5 billion a day earlier. Meanwhile, the traded volumes leapt to 419 million shares from 273.94 million and were exchanged through 394,800 deals today when compared to 278,000 transactions yesterday.

The Saudi Industrial Development Company (SIDC) came on top of the gainers with 9.93%, whereas Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company led the decliners with 5.64%.

Moreover, the materials instrument fell by 1.21% while the energy and banks sectors levelled down by 0.37% and 0.21%, respectively.

Dar Alarkan Real Estate Development led the trading activity through the exchange of 51.5 million shares, while Saudi Fisheries Company (Alasmak) registered the largest turnover of SAR 387.86 million.

Further, the Nomu-Parallel Market Capped Index (NomuC) dipped by 7.78% after losing 647 points to stand at 7,669 points.

The National Building and Marketing Company led the losers with 14.7% whereas no gaining stocks were recorded.
