Tadawul closes Sunday up by 0.62%

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Sunday’s trading session on a rise on the back of gains by market sectors.

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) added 0.62% or 49.39 points to finish at 7,983.82 points.

The materials sector increased by 0.57%, while energy and telecom rose by 0.35% and 0.19%, respectively.

Software led the rising sectors with 5.94%, followed by media and entertainment with 4.20%.

Traded values decreased to SAR 9.075 billion, down from SAR 9.28 billion on Thursday, while traded volumes increased to 369.579 million shares, compared with 420.28 million shares in the previous session.

The number of transactions also declined to 362,272 from 389,840 on Thursday.

Tihama topped the rising stocks, surging by 9.95%, while Al-Omran was the biggest loser and decreased by 1.25%.

SARCO registered the highest turnover of SAR 484.565 million, while Dar Alarkan was the most actively traded stock with 27.9 million shares.
