Tadawul closes Thursday down 57pts

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Thursday’s trading session in losses for the second consecutive day.

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) declined by 0.76% or 57 points and closed at the level of 7,467.52 points.

Traded values amounted to SAR 3.57 billion, compared with SAR 4.3 billion in the previous session, while volumes amounted to 145.77 million shares, down from 174.56 million traded shares on Wednesday.

Thirteen market sector indices closed in the red zone, as banks and materials fell by 1.08% and 0.56%, while the energy sector index went down by 0.3%.

On the other hand, the remaining sector indices ended the session in the green zone, as the telecom index rose by 0.1%.

As for the stocks’ performance, 124 stocks registered losses, while 59 stocks ended today in gains, and 10 remained unchanged.

Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company led the falling stocks as it dropped by 4.67%, while Wafrah led the risers and surged by 9.84%.

Al Rajhi logged the highest turnover with SAR 495.46 million, while Alinma was the most actively traded stock with 11.57 million shares.

In the parallel market, the Nomu index plunged by 1.2% or 86.54 points to 7,136.23 points.
