Tadawul closes Tuesday down 1.6%

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Tuesday’s trading in decline for the second consecutive session, amidst improved liquidity.

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) lost 1.58% or 104.35 points and closed at 6,496.72 points.

Traded values amounted to SAR 4 billion, with 189.5 million traded shares, compared with a turnover of SAR 3.4 billion on Monday with a traded volume of 152 million shares.

Jadwa REIT and Arab Sea were the biggest losers, dropping by 5.78% and 5.70%, while Ash-Sharqiyah Development and Bahri led the rising stocks, adding 4.38% and 3.04%, respectively.

Alinma led the trading charts with 24.42 million shares and a turnover of SAR 351.44 million.

The materials sector retreated by 2.83%, while energy and banks lost 1.61% and 1.07%, respectively, and the telecom index fell by 0.79%.
