Tadawul closes Tuesday up 1%

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Tuesday’s trading session on a positive note, returning to gains after two consecutive declines this week.

The main index increased by 1.03% or 70.10 points and closed at 6,874.64 points.

Traded volumes amounted to 175 million shares, with the number of transactions reaching 177,840 and turnover at SAR 3.42 billion.

Wafrah led the rising stocks and gained 6.5%, while Red Sea was the biggest decliner with 9.98%.

Alinma was the most actively traded stock with 31.45 million shares, logging the highest turnover of SAR 485.43 million.

The telecom sector rose by 2.52%, while materials and banks added 1.62% and 0.09%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the energy sector index marginally increased by 0.04%.

On the other hand, the insurance and investment sectors decreased by 0.35% and 0.14%, respectively.

The Nomu Parallel Market surged by 11.85% as it closed at 6,601.42 points.
