Tadawul closes Wednesday in red

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Wednesday’s trading session in decline, on the back of losses by major market sectors.

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed at 8,094.36 points, losing 0.54% or 44 points.

Today’s traded volumes amounted to 153.27 million shares with a total turnover of SAR 3.83 billion, exchanged through around 165,870 transactions.

Saudi Cable led the declining stocks and dropped by 9.91%, while Ash-Sharqiyah was the top gainer and surged by the same percentage.

Al Rajhi registered the highest turnover with SAR 311.512 million, while Al Rajhi was the most actively traded stock with 4.67 million shares.

The telecom sector plunged by 1.38%, while energy and banks declined by 0.71% and 0.68%, respectively. Similarly, the banks' sector went down by 0.55%.

Meanwhile, the Nomu-Parallel Market lost 2.73% or 195.76 points and closed at 6,966.32 points.
