Tadawul closes down 1.8% on Tuesday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of the Saudi Stock Exchange fell 1.86% or 103.73 points to stand at 5,423.7 points on Tuesday.

The energy was the only gaining sector adding 0.51%.

The media sector topped the red zone losing 8.85%, followed by the building and transportation sectors which levelled down 5.76% and 4.14%, respectively.

The petrochemical sector also closed 2.88% low, while the real estate development and banks sectors decreased 2.4% and 0.84%, respectively.

Turnover grew 16.64% to SAR 2.55 billion, compared to SAR 2.18 billion on Monday, while traded volume slipped 12.42% to 166.59 million shares after recording 148.19 million shares yesterday.

On the stock level, 154 shares levelled down, 14 levelled up and one share remained unchanged.

National Medical Care Company led the best performers adding 3.23%, followed by Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance and GASCO which increased 2.83% and 2.4%, respectively.

On the other hand, National Industrialisation Co. (Tasnee) topped the worst performers dropping 9.93%, followed by Abdul Mohsen Al Hokair Group for Tourism and Development and Fawaz Abdulaziz Al Hokair Company which lost 9.92% and 9.82%, respectively.
