Tadawul closes in green on collective rise on Tuesday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed on its highest level in seven sessions on Tuesday, accompanied by low traded values and volumes.

The main index rose 0.96% or 58.43 points to stand at 6,129.59 points.

Turnover retreated 8.5% to SAR 2.4 billion from SAR 2.6 billion on Monday, while traded volume decreased 4.6% to 132.7 million shares from 139 million shares yesterday.

The hotel sector topped the gaining sectors advancing 3.74%, followed by the industrial investment and building sectors which added 1.89% and 1.86%, respectively.

The banks and petrochemical sectors also gained 0.89% and 0.59%, respectively.

On the stock level, 134 shares levelled up, 32 shares levelled down and 3 shares remained unchanged.

Al Jouf Agricultural Development led the best performers increasing 5.93%, followed by Al Khaleej Training and Education and Al Tayyar Travel Group Holding which gained 5.16% and 4.61%, respectively.

On the other hand, Arabian Shield Cooperative Insurance came on top of the worst performers losing 2.75%, followed by Arriyadh Development Co. and Aldrees Petroleum and Transport Services Company which slipped 1.25% and 1.21%, respectively.
