Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed on negative note for the third week in row on September on collective decline of all market sectors.
This week witnessed, only four trading session as Tadawul suspended trading on Thursday 22 September on occasion of the Kingdom National day.
Tadawal main index lost 3.69% or 227.6 points to close at 5948.92 points.
The market capitalization slide by SAR 48.7 billion ($13 billion) to SAR 1.39 trillion ($370.73 billion) .
The average intraday trading volume dropped by 13.6% to 131 million shares.
The energy sector, banking sector and petrochemical sector declined by 7.95%, 5.26% and 1.5% respectively.
Walaa Insurance was the best performer as it added 8.15% to close at SAR 15.79, while Saudi Industrial Export was the main decliner as it lost 13.77% to close at SAR 30.74.
