Tadawul declines 24 pts at close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The benchmark of Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Thursday falling 24 points or 0.37% to the level of 6,542.64 points.

Turnover reached SAR 3.2 billion through exchanging 195 million shares in 72,000 transactions, with 36 green shares against 122 others closes in red, while the remaining 11 stocks were flat.

The petrochemicals and banks sectors were the worst performers after dropping by 0.83% and 0.60% respectively, while the energy, construction and hotels and tourism sectors closed in green.

GASCO topped gainers by increasing 6.62% to SAR 26.1, followed by Saudi Advanced Industries with a growth of 2.43% to SAR 10.95 and Dar Al Arkan with a rise of 2.41% to SAR 5.9.

Meanwhile, AlRajhi Takaful headed losers after falling by 9.92% to SAR 23.8, followed by United Cooperative Assurance which shrank 5.69% to SAR 11.1 and YANSAB decreased 4.39% to SAR 41.6.

Alinma Bank was the most active stock with a trading volume of 41.9 million shares exchanged through 4,600 transactions.
