Tadawul drops over 100pts at Sunday’s open

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) commenced Sunday and the week on a negative note after its benchmark Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) dropped 1.3%, shedding 101.26 points to reach 7,652.10 points.

By 10:57 am Saudi time, turnover amounted to SAR 774.19 million after 32.5 million shares changed hands through 29,360 transactions.

The media sector was among the top losers, falling 3%, followed by commercial services and food retailing with 2.8% and 1.8%, respectively, while banks and materials shed 1.4% each and telecommunications sector decreased 1.1%.

Bank Albilad topped falling stocks, sliding 3.5%, whereas MetLife led gainers, adding 5.1%.

Last week, TASI retreated 2.03% or 160.93 points to close at 7,753.36 points.
