Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) shed 0.14% or 9.74 points to 7,003.73 points at Monday’s close.
Traded value marginally fell to SAR 3.7 billion ($987 million) on Monday compared to SAR 3.73 billion ($995 million) on Sunday.
Traded volume reached 227.2 million shares, down from 231.45 million shares.
The transport led the losing sectors and went down 0.72%, on the back of Saudi Ground Services and Budget which decreased 1.19% and 0.39%, respectively.
The material sector fell 0.43% after SAFCO lost 1.1% to SAR 69, while SABIC rose 1.2% to SAR 99.75.
The banks sector inched down 0.24%, weighted by Al Rajhi Bank which shed 0.13% to SAR 63, while the National Commercial Bank (NCB) increased 1.55% to SAR 40.
On the other hand, the telecom sector topped the best performers and levelled up 0.43%, backed by Saudi Telecom Co (STC) which gained 1.12% to SAR 68.
