Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) added 0.3% or 20.64 points to close at 6,872,77 points on Tuesday.
Traded value reached SAR 2.95 billion on Tuesday compared to SAR 2.48 billion on Monday, while traded volume stood at 128.14 million shares compared to 111.78 million shares.
The food and beverages sector led the best performers and increased 1.85%, backed by Nadec which hiked 6.45% to SAR 29.70.
The material sector went up 0.4%, after SAFCO rose 2.59% to SAR 68.25, while SABIC shed 0.08% to SAR 96.25.
The banks sector inched up 0.33%, as the National Commercial Bank (NCB) and Al Rajhi Bank levelled up 1.16% to SAR 38.50 and 0.57% to SAR 63.25, respectively.
On the other hand, the telecom sector fell 0.57%, affected by Saudi Telecom Co (STC) which decreased 1.47% to SAR 66.25.
Nadec led 123 the gaining stocks, while Medgulf topped the losing stocks and went down 3.48% to SAR 23.05.
Alinma Bank was the most active in terms of traded values and volumes with 29.4 million shares exchanged at a value of SAR 438.4 million; the stock gained 0.47% to SAR 14.90.
