Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Tuesday’s session on a collective rise.
The main index increased 1.46% or 81.39 points to stand at 5,650 points.
Turnover gained 24.76% to reach SAR 3.18 billion compared to SAR 2.55 billion on Monday, while traded volume added 27.48% to 236.78 million shares from 185.74 million shares yesterday.
The hotels sector led the best performers advancing 4.68%, followed by the insurance which went up 3.18%.
The cement and transportation sectors achieved the least increases adding 0.14% and 0.19%, respectively.
The banks, telecom and petrochemical sectors were also up 1.29%, 0.97% and 1.69%, respectively.
Knowledge Economic City led the gaining stocks hiking 9.8%, followed by Abdulmohsen Al Hokair Group for Tourism and Development Company and Amana Cooperative Insurance which advanced 9.75% and 9.73%, respectively.
On the other hand, Takween Advanced Industries topped the losing stocks losing 1.85%, followed by National Medical Care Company and Riyad Bank which slipped 1.71% and 1.29%, respectively.
