Tadawul ends Wednesday down for 3rd session in row

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Wednesday's trades in the red for the third session in a row.

The main index shed 0.01% or 0.39 points and closed at the level of 7,100.93 points.

Traded values increased to SAR 4.44 billion from SAR 3.9 billion last session, while traded volumes declined to 237.45 billion shares compared to 208.46 million shares on Thursday.

The energy sector lost 0.67%, affected by Bahri and Petro Rabigh which decreased 1.12% to SAR 38 and 0.5% to SAR 11.95, respectively.

The banks sector went down 0.53%, affected by the National Commercial Bank (NCB) which fell 0.23%, while Al Rajhi Bank added 0.01%.

The capital goods sector increased 0.22%, backed by SABIC and SAFCO which went up 0.68% to SAR 96.25 and 0.35% to SAR 72.50, respectively.

The telecom sector added 0.2%, supported by Saudi Telecom Company (STC) which increased 0.39% to SAR 67.25, while Zain KSA fell 1.45% to SAR 8.85.

Umm Al Qura Cement led the losing stock and declined 5.87% at SAR 22.95, followed by Nama Chemicals which decreased 4.95% at SAR 4.80.

On the other hand, Etihad Atheeb hiked 9.38% to SAR 3.50.

Al Inma Bank was the most active in terms of traded values of SAR 790.35 million, through trading 53.3 million shares.
