Tadawul foreign investors’ purchases net SAR 3.1bn in August

Riyadh – Mubasher: Buying activity of foreign investors in the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) netted SAR 3.14 billion in August 2020, compared to net sales by Saudi and GCC investors worth SAR 2.81 billion and 331.21 million, respectively.

Total buying transactions executed by foreign investors reached SAR 13.87 billion, compared to sales of SAR 10.37 billion, according to data released by the Saudi bourse.

This has backed qualified and strategic investors with net purchases worth SAR 2.82 billion and SAR 504 million, respectively, compared to net sales by resident investors of SAR 108.27 million and SAR 67.98 million for swap agreements.

In the meantime, sales deals carried out by Saudi investors came in at SAR 138.39 billion, compared to purchases of SAR 135.58 billion.

GCC investors registered net purchases of SAR 949.64 million and net sales of SAR 1.28 billion.

Institutions recorded net purchases of SAR 1.88 billion, while net sales of individual investors hit SAR 4.69 billion.
