Tadawul foreign investors’ purchases net SAR 7.5bn in week

Riyadh – Mubasher: Foreign investors continued to increase their purchases in the Saudi bourse during the week ended on 3 September 2020, whereas Saudi investors leaned towards selling activity and Gulf investors shifted towards buying activity.

Foreign and Gulf investors recorded net purchases of SAR 17.89 million and SAR 26.76 million, respectively, last week, compared with net sales of SAR 44.65 million by local investors, according to official data from the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul).

Foreigners had total purchases of SAR 7.5 billion and net sales worth SAR 7.48 billion.

Meanwhile, qualified investors registered SAR 418.61 million worth of net purchases, compared with net sales of SAR 397.3 million by resident investors and swap agreements of SAR 3.34 million. 

As for GCC investors, total purchases came in at SAR 289.97 million while sales reached SAR 263.21 million.

Saudis executed selling deals worth SAR 49.19 billion and buying transactions of SAR 49.15 billion.

Purchases of institutions netted SAR 207.22 million last week while net sales by individuals hit SAR 251.9 million.
