Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) shut Thursday’s session on an up note, as it gained 67 points, or 1.04% to close at 6,509 points.
The market trend remains upward, said Salem Al-Shuwaiman, adding that investors are awaiting the financial results of leading companies.
A break above the previous peak of 6,509 points will take the index higher towards 6,720 points, according to the analyst.
Today’s traded volume amounted to 321.68 million shares, exchanged at a liquidity reaching SAR 5.25 billion.
91 stocks moved up, 71 moved down and 5 remained unchanged.
11 sectors were in green, topped by banks and financial services (+1.95%), while the four other sectors were in red, led by cement, agriculture, insurance and media.
Alujain was the best performer, with a rise of 7.49%, followed by Amana (+5.96%), then Aslak (+4.95%). On the negative front, Alsagr Insurance was the worst performer (-9.81%), followed by Jazadco (-4.81%) and ACIG (-2.96%).
