Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Monday's session adding 1.22% or 67 points to stand at 5,574.22 points.
Traded volume reached 185.7 million shares at a value of SAR 2.6 billion, distributed over more than 70,000 transactions.
The market from the technical perspective is still on a downward path on the long- and medium-terms and it entered a vertical path on the short-term between 5,400 points and 5,700 points, technical analyst, Mohamed Al Maymouni, told Mubasher.
The cement sector was the only losing sector falling 1.54%, while the energy, telecom and banks sectors rose 4.66%, 1.37% and 1.87%, respectively.
On the stock level, 124 shares levelled up, 40 levelled down and 5 remained unchanged.
Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) topped the best performers increasing 5.85%, followed Saudi Industrial Services Co. (SISCO) and Fitaihi Holding Group which advanced 5.78% and 5.63%, respectively.
On the other hand, Buruj Cooperative Insurance Co. led the worst performers losing 9.32%, followed by Arriyadh Development Co. and Saudi Cement Co. which decreased 3.35% and 3.09%, respectively.
