Tadawul loses 110 pts, dragged mainly by telecoms

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) shut 1.70% or 110 points lower at 6,350.90 points on Thursday.

Today’s traded volume exceeded 301.5 million shares, exchanged in 120,000 transactions at turnover reaching more than SAR 5.1 billion.

Sectors were collectively in red, topped by telecoms and real estate that retreated 4.89% and 3.81% in a row.

United Cooperative Assurance was the best performer (+6.32%), followed by Enaya (+5.19%), then Wafa Insurance (+3.02%).

MetLife AIG stock was the biggest drag, falling 9.9%, followed by STC that was off 7.15%, then Jabal Omar that was behind 6.64%.

Property developer Dar Al Arkan came on top among actives with a traded volume of more than 42.2 million shares. It was followed by Alinma Bank (42 million shares) and Zain KSA (12.9 million shares).

Tihama was the top active in terms of number of transactions.
