Tadawul loses 142 pts in May; NOMU down 13.46%

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) saw a negative performance in May, with its Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) falling 2.03% or 142.2 points to reach 6,871.24 points.

The main index (NOMU) of Nomu-Parallel Market also slid 13.46% to 4,069.85 points.

The parallel market saw a turnover of SAR 70.19 million in May, compared to SAR 120.3 million in April.

Tadawul saw a turnover of SAR 64.66 billion ($17.2 million) in May, compared to SAR 65.3 billion ($17.4 million) in April. Trading volume reached 4.1 billion shares, compared to 3.5 billion shares.

The capital goods sector led losers with a 13.94% decline, while the retailing sector was the best performer after adding 4.07%.
