Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) saw a negative performance in the week ended 25 May, pressured by the decline of most sectors.
The Tadawul All Shares Index (TASI) lost 0.96% or 66.38 points to reach 6,871.72 points.
On another note, the main index (NOMU) of Nomu-Parallel Market fell 4.4% or 188.8 points to the level of 4,094.79 points.
In Tadawul, market capitalisation amounted to SAR 1.624 trillion ($433 billion) this week, compared to SAR 1.636 trillion ($436.26 billion) last week.
The REITs sector led losers with a 4.25% decline, while the telecommunication services, materials and banks sector fell 1.9%, 0.79% and 0.22%, respectively.
On the other hand, the media sector led gainers after adding 2.6%, while pharma, biotech and life science, and retailing sectors went up 0.86% and 0.7%, respectively.
Turnover amounted to SAR 12.95 billion ($3.45 billion) this week, compared to SAR 16 billion ($4.27 billion) last week. Trading volume reached 763 million shares, compared to 1.15 billion shares.
Al Inma Bank was the value leader after generating SAR 1.13 billion, falling 2.74% to SAR 14.19.
Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development Company was the most active stock with a trading volume of 183.7 million shares and declined 6.34% to SAR 6.20.
