Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Tuesday’s session in red as the main index shrank 0.16% or 9.8 points to the level of 6,201 points, compared to gains of 84.79 points yesterday.
The real estate and banks sectors trimmed today’s losses by rising 0.21% and 0.07% respectively, while the petrochemical Industries and telecom sectors shrank 0.49% and 1.34% respectively.
The bourse’s benchmark index declined 0.35% or 22 points in the first three sessions of April.
“The index keeps swinging between the levels of 6,000 and 6,350 points as investors are awaiting for the company’s financial results,” Rayan Al-Kharashi, capital market expert, told Mubasher.
Turnover rose today by 14.9% to SAR 4.8 billion ($1.28 billion) from SAR 4.2 billion ($1.12 billion) on Monday.
Trading volume also increased 13.9% to 253 million shares from 222 million shares exchanged yesterday.
Wafa Insurance, Abdullah Al-Khodari Sons and Amana Insurance was the best performers as they rose 9.96%, 8.95% and 8.58% respectively, while Saudi Arabian Amiantit was the worst performer with a fall of 7.43%, Saudi Investment Bank shrank 4.89% and AXA Cooperative Insurance declined 3.86%.
