Riyadh – Mubasher: The main index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) gained 0.79% or 54.28 points to 6,918.82 points at Tuesday’s close.
Traded value increased to SAR 2.82 billion ($751 million) on Tuesday compared to SAR 2.48 billion ($662 million) on Monday.
Traded volume went up to 175.57 million shares, up from 146.53 million shares.
The retailing sector led the green zone and increased 4.1%, followed by the food retailing and utilities sectors which rose 1.3% and 1.1%, respectively.
The banks, telecom, and material sectors also levelled up 1.04%, 0.74%, and 0.58%, respectively.
On the other hand, the pharma sector led the worst performers and decreased 0.86%.
Salama Cooperative Insurance recorded the highest gains and hiked 8.2%, while Al Sagr Insurance topped the losing stocks and declined 9.9%.
Moreover, the main index (NOMU) of Nomu-Parallel Market went down 0.65% or 28.77 points to 4,370.28 points.
Traded volume reached 64,750 shares, while values reached SAR 1.32 million on Tuesday.
Raydan Co was the most active in terms of traded value with SAR 333,460, while Abo Moati was the most active in terms of traded volume exchanging 22,440 shares.
Al-Omran Industrial Trading led the red zone and lost 3.1% to SAR 25, followed by Raydan which fell 2.6% to SAR 26.30.
Abo Moati rose solely by 0.54%.
