Riyadh – Mubasher: Tata Communications has received a Type B telecom licence in Saudi Arabia, which enables it to provide Internet service provider (ISP) and related telecom services to businesses with specified capacities.
This licence will also enable Tata to offer local currency billing to end-customers in the kingdom and allow it to shift from providing services as a foreign carrier in the Middle East to a local licensed service provider, according to a press release on Tuesday.
Through the licence, Tata will become a neutral telecom service provider for the region’s over-the-tops (OTTs) as well as multinational corporations (MNCs). Moreover, it will be able to offer network transformation services in Saudi Arabia, process the requirements of internet, network security, private cloud, and SDWAN across the region.
The COVID-19 outbreak has radically changed the way enterprises and people work, making digital solutions essential in the new normal. Tata, in collaboration with international firms, works to provide safe and connected digital experience through secured and developable systems in the workplace, in addition to institutional trade tools of the new generation.
It is worth pinpointing that Tata Communications fully owns and operates a sub-sea network that provides services all over the globe and enables companies to reach more than 200 countries and areas.
