Riyadh-Mubasher: Revenues from the tax imposed on Saudi oil companies amounted to SAR 643.70 billion during the last fiscal year, down 15.5% compared with a year earlier, said a well-informed source at the Department of Zakat and Income Tax (DZIT).
The decline was to due low revenues during the last quarter, the source said.
Tax and zakat revenues, excluding revenues from tax on oil companies, reached SAR 28.06 billion during the last fiscal year, rising nearly 12% year-on-year, Al-Madina newspaper reported.
The tax is deposited in the general revenues account at Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), DZIT said.
