Teen Bitcoin millionaire plans to build university in Dubai

Dubai –Mubasher: Erik Finman, a 19-year-old teenage Bitcoin investor, said that he was planning to establish a university in Dubai, according to The National newspaper.

Born in Idaho in the US, Erik's first investment in the cryptocurrency was in May 2011 at the age of 12, when his grandmother gave him $1,000.

At that time, bitcoin was priced at $12, but since then, its value surged considerably, turning Erik, who owns 401 Bitcoins today, into a millionaire, The National added.

Given that bitcoin’s price now is about $14,000, Erik Finman’s wealth is estimated at $5.6 million.

The American teenage is now planning to invest part of his wealth in building a new university in Dubai, stressing that it would be “two times better than Stanford”, the UAE-based newspaper revealed.

“I want to start the school of all schools in Dubai. It will be the best on the planet because I know Dubai likes the best,” Erik remarked.

Erik visited Dubai several times, and his family is running online teaching training in the UAE, which uses the technology developed through an online education start-up called Botangle launched by Erik in 2014, The National concluded.
