Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Thursday's trading session in the red, after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) edged down 0.7 points, or 0.01%, to 8,098.1 points, pressured by the telecommunication services sector.
By 10:45 am Saudi time, TASI saw trading of 34.2 million shares changed hands through via 22,780 transactions, with a turnover of SAR 838.4 million.
The insurance sector fell 2.34%, followed by the consumer durables and apparel and telecommunication services segments with 1.07% and 0.35%, respectively.
On the flipside, the energy, materials, and banking sectors rose 1.48%, 0.29%, and 0.2%, respectively.
The Company for Cooperative Insurance’s (Tawuniya) stock was the worst performer with 8.8%, registering SAR 73.70, whereas Al Sagr Cooperative Insurance’s stock increased 5.42% to SAR 11.08.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, decreased 18.3 points, or 0.57%, to 3,185.02 points.
Raydan Co’s stock led losers with 4.76%, whereas the stock Development Works Food rose 3.21%.
