Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) was in the red early Thursday, pressured by the telecom sector’s heavy-weight Etisalat.
The general index fell 1.02% or 44 points to 4,276.36 points by 11:30am UAE time.
The telecom sector led today’s five losers, sliding 2.23%, with Etisalat declining similarly. On the other hand, the energy and insurance sectors were the only risers, adding 1.1% and 0.15%, respectively.
Bildco was the biggest decliner, dropping 6%, while AXA Cooperative Insurance led gainers, surging 13.75%.
Dana Gas was the most active in terms of traded volume with 5.7 million shares traded at a turnover of AED 3 million. The stock grew 1.92%.
Meanwhile, RAK Properties recorded the highest traded value during the session, reaching AED 3.05 million after 5.25 million shares were exchanged. The stock retreated 1.69%.
