Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) continued its positive performance for the third session in row on Thursday, weighed down by blue chips especially in the telecom sector.
The general index slid 0.15% or 6.91 points to reach 4,518.45 points.
Trading volume reached 80.54 million shares on Thursday, compared to 107.26 million shares last Wednesday. Turnover stood at AED 153.2 million, compared to AED 227.26 million.
The investment sector led losers after falling 1.9%, pressured down by Waha Capital which went down 2.01%.
The telecom sector also retreated 1% as Etisalat slid 1%. Similarly, the real estate sector decreased 0.27% after Aldar Properties retreated 0.35%.
On the flipside, the energy sector went up 1.8% as TAQA and Dana Gas increased 1.96% and 1.8% respectively.
The banks sector grew 0.27% after Union National Bank (UNB) and First Gulf Bank (FGB) advanced 0.68% and 0.42% respectively.
