Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has said that Tuesday’s auction for term deposits with fixed interest totalled EGP 10 billion.
The interest rate stood at 19.25%, the CBE said in a statement on Tuesday.
CBE noted that it has received offers from 16 banks with a total value of EGP 72.25 billion.
Local liquidity totalled EGP 3.08 trillion in October, increasing by 40.6% year-on-year.
