Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Alstom selected Thales for the systems’ extension and upgrade of the Dubai metro Red Line.
The Alstom-led consortium Expolink signed a deal with the RTA to design and build the extension of Dubai’s Red metro line and upgrade the system of the existing line, with investments valued at €2.6 billion.
The official service at the newly extended metro line is scheduled to launch on 20 May, five months before the opening of Dubai Expo 2020.
