Dubai - Mubasher: The Dubai-based The First Group announced opening the first restaurant themed after the popular MasterChef reality show at the new Millennium Place Marina in Dubai in April.
The property developer and food and beverage specialist appointed Venezuelan-born chef Maria Vaamonde-Beggs to head the restaurant, Arabian Business reported.
MasterChef is the world’s most successful cookery television format with over 60 local adaptations.
The First Group and the reality show giant Endemol Shine Group signed a partnership agreement in 2018 to launch the themed restaurant.
Both firms plan to grow the MasterChef concept around the world in the next years, The First Group’s vice president of food and beverage said.
“The fact Dubai will launch the brand to the world is a truly significant moment in the city’s restaurant evolution,” Duncan Fraser-Smith noted.
