Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index rose 0.25% or 12.44 points to close at 5,016.07 points on Wednesday, supported by the telecommunication, banks and real estate sectors.
The trading volume reached 98.75 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 187.26 million.
The telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, rose 0.46%, each.
The banks sector gained 0.21% after the First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank added 0.14% and 1.01%, respectively.
The real estate sector upped 0.15% after RAK Properties advanced 1.55% and Eshraq Properties leveled up 0.16%.
On the other hand, the investment sector declined 0.88% after Umm Al Qaiwain General Investment Co dropped 9%.
RAK Cement was the market’s top gainer, recording a 9.66% rise.
The energy sector upped 0.10% after ADNOC Distribution’s share gained 0.42%.
The First Abu Dhabi Bank led the market in terms of value, generating a turnover of AED 44.29 million, while Eshraq Properties was the most traded stock, with 5.022 million shares.
