Three sectors push up ADX Thursday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index grew 13.77 points, or 0.29%, to close at 4,844.19 points on Thursday, pushed up by the energy, telecommunication, and real estate sectors.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 59.65 million shares, while the market’s liquidity amounted to AED 149.39 million.

The energy sector went up 1.48%, as Dana Gas surged 3.74%, while the telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, rose 0.59% each.

The real estate sector added 0.4% after Aldar Properties increased by 0.49%, whereas the banks sector inched up 0.05% after Union National Bank (UNB) gained 1.43%.

The investment sector rose 2.09%, as Waha Capital grew 2.27%.

On the other hand, the industrials and consumer staples sector shed 0.47% and 0.28%, respectively.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) topped the ADX in terms of trading volume, with a turnover of AED 54 million, while Dana Gas led the market on the basis of volume, with 32.86 million traded shares.
