Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Thursday’s trading session in the green, supported by the growth of the real estate, energy, and telecommunication sectors.
The general index increased by 14.12 points, or 0.29%, closing the last session of the week at 4,831.23 points.
The ADX’s trading volume reached 44.915 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 93.30 million through 1,319 transactions.
The energy sector topped gainers adding 1.67% as Dana Gas rose 3.49%.
The real estate sector went up 0.94% on the back of Aldar Properties’ 1.32% increase, while the telecommunication sector and its sole stock Etisalat went up 0.59%, each.
The banks sector inched up 0.03% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) grew 2.50%.
By the end of the session, First Abu Dhabi Bank’s (FAB) stock led the ADX in terms of liquidity with AED 28.08%, while Eshraq Properties’ stock posted the highest trading volume with 19.9 million shares.
