Mubasher: Tokyo Stock Exchange announced suspending it trading activity Monday on the occasion of "Respect for the Aged Day", a Japanese public holiday.
The trading activity will be resumed on 20 September.
By the end of Friday's trading session, the benchmark Nikkei index rose 0.7% to 1,6519.29 points, thus holding above the lowest level in three weeks.
