By: Amr Adel

Dubai-Mubasher: It is too early to say what caused the FlyDubai Boeing 737-800 to crash in Russia, Flydubai CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith said at a news conference in Dubai.

“We are cooperating with the concerned Russian authorities to know reasons, and the investigation is still going on," he added at a press conference held in Dubai.

FlyDubai earlier announced that its jet run under the code FZ981 has crash-landed at Rostov-on-Don airport in southern Russia, killing all 62 passengers.

“FlyDubai, Boeing and the International Air Transport Association will send teams to take part in the investigations,” Al Ghaith noted.

The crashed aircraft is newly manufactured and passed its latest maintenance on 21 January, CEO said.

The captain was a highly experienced with around 5,900 flight hours, he added.
