Mubasher: The Kuwaiti tourism sector will provide more than 90,000 job opportunities for youth until 2035, bringing its total contribution to Kuwait’s gross domestic product (GDP) to 2% on the short-term, rising to 4% through developing the sector in a bid to attract foreign investment, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported, citing an economic report as saying.
Through the ambitious Kuwait Vision 2035, the GCC nation seeks to develop the tourism sector, which is a key source of income in an effort to turn Kuwait into an international business hub.
Kuwait’s long-term tourism growth strategy was boosted after the number of travelers increased to more than 10 million per year, in line with the state's plans to upgrade the transport infrastructure.
The Kuwaiti economy relies on a slew of investment fields including tourism in order to slash unemployment, diversify national income sources and reduce its reliance on oil.
