Riyadh – Mubasher: Domestic, inbound, and outbound tourist trips in Saudi Arabia reached 59.6 million in 2017, said the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) on Tuesday.
The total value of these trips stood at SAR 168.3 billion during 2017, the SCTH added.
The domestic tourist trips exceeded 34 million, generating SAR 38.1 billion.
The outbound trips hit 12.7 million at a value of SAR 63 billion versus12.8 million inbound trips at SAR 67.2 billion, SCTH's data showed.
On Monday, SCTH’s deputy chief for programmes and products Abdullah Al-Murshid said that Saudi Arabian tourism sector’s revenues registered SAR 175 billion in 2017, compared to SAR 57 billion in 2004.
