Trading on Nasdaq Dubai’s futures market up in November

Dubai – Mubasher: Trading on Nasdaq Dubai’s equity futures market rose 116% year-on-year in November as new investors entered the market, according to a statement.

A total of 222,829 contracts traded during in November, compared to 103,393 in October.

Union Properties (UP), Arabtec Holding and DXB Entertainments were the leading contracts by volume in November. In addition, Menacorp was the most active broker in November was Menacorp, followed by Al Ramz Capital and then Mubasher.

National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) joined as a market marker in November, while SHUAA Capital has been market making since the market opened on 1 September 1.

The equity futures market offers single stock futures contracts on Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), Aldar Properties, Arabtec, DP World, Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), DXB Entertainments, Emaar Properties, Etisalat, and UP.
