Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The total value of transfers carried out between banks rose 30.91% year-on-year in the first eight months of 2016, according to the Central Bank of UAE.
Total transfers reached AED 6.517 trillion in the eight-month period ended 31 August, compared to AED 4.978 trillion in the prior-year period.
On a month-on-month basis, the value of transfers fell 21.04% or AED 691.44 billion to stand at AED 188.44 billion in August, compared to AED 707.37 billion in July.
Bounced cheques totalled 951,960, standing at a value of AED 50.49 billion as at 31 August 2016.
