Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The total value of transfers carried out between banks rose 23.96% year-on-year in the first seven months of 2016, according to the Central Bank of UAE.
Total transfers reached AED 5.826 trillion in the seven-month period ended 31 July, compared to AED 4.174 trillion in the prior-year period.
On a month-on-month bases, the value of transfers declined 21.04% or AED 188.44 billion to stand at AED 707.37 billion in July, compared to AED 895.81 billion in June.
Bounced cheques totalled 838,180, standing at a value of AED 44.26 billion as at 31 July 2016.
